We have huge files and frequent need to find a particular transaction based on Payee, key word (in memo) or dollar amount. Search box is needed to quick access.

This sounds like a great idea and we will be adding this to Accounted 3.x. Thanks for the suggestion.
Currently you can go to Window Menu > People Tracker (or click People in your main window toolbar), and search through people there. You can double-click a user and go to the Transactions tab to view their associated transactions. This does not help for your other scenarios, though.
