What are On-The-Fly Summaries?
On-the-fly summaries take one of your Custom Summary presets, and filter it for a specific client or project. This lets you use your saved summary presets to quickly view detailed information about a specific client or project without having to manually update the Summary's filter settings.
What is actually being done is Studiometry will temporarily add a Grouping Tier at the top of the Summary's Grouping tier list and filter it based on the selected item. So, for example, if you want to create an on-the-fly summary for a project name "Project A", Studiometry will add a Project grouping tier to the summary, and set that tier's filter to only show "Project A". This will not be saved to the summary preset, it will only be used while viewing this on-the-fly summary.
An example would be if you took the following Summary preset setup:
And used it to create an on-the-fly summary for a Project, the grouping tiers would look like:
How do I create an On-The-Fly summary?
On-The-Fly summaries can be accessed in Studiometry 11 or newer by selecting a client or project and going to the Overview section. Next, click the On-The-Fly icon (pictured above) and select one of your Summary Presets. A new summary window will appear that uses the Summary Preset filtered by the specific Client or Project.
