What is a Payment?

Payments are used to keep track of any and all money coming in to your business. When a client makes a payment on an invoice, it should be recorded as a Payment.
Payments are attached directly to a Client (whoever the payment came from), but can refer to a Project and/or Invoice. A Payment attached to a Project or Invoice will subtract from the total amount owed on that Project or Invoice.
Payments can keep track of all data associated with the payment, including credit card information, payment type, and more.
To create a Payment, click the plus (+) button near any of the Payment listboxes.
Studiometry will present you with the option to create a payment after you mark an Invoice as Paid. Studiometry will automatically enter all information necessary into the payment, including Project and Invoice attachment info.
