What is a Report?

Reports are used in Studiometry to gather any paperwork into one manageable location. When you create a report, you are presented with 3 editable fields, that will correspond with the Report Template to produce a final product.
Reports are exported the same way as Invoices, where you select an editable template, which then gets the data filled in with variables corresponding to your project, client, company, or report.
Reports can use most variables that Invoices can, and they also have some unique variables that are used just for reports. See the Template Variables section for more info.
Reports are good for things with a constant format, such as contracts, estimates, progress reports, tech troubleshooting reports, or anything else.
Reports can have variables in the actual "Fields" and "Field Titles", allowing even more flexibility and power. Simply Control-click on a field or field-title field for a list of variables that can be used in a report.
When you select a report template, all of the defaults for all field titles and field contents will automatically be filled in. This can be edited for each individual report, allowing a great amount of flexibility.
You can copy the built in report templates to create new templates for whatever paperwork you'd need.
To create a Report, select Project Menu > New Report, or click the plus (+) button below the Report list in the main window.
You may then select the corresponding Report Template, and enter the data for the Report.
