If you haven't seen yet, Studiometry 16.2 has been released with a large number of user-requested changes.
It's been almost 3 years since the last publicly-released update to Studiometry. While we've been managing Studiometry Cloud infrastructure, and sending out small app hot-fixes behind the scenes, Studiometry hasn't seen a full new version since 2021.
That's a long time. By far the longest Studiometry has ever gone in its 21-year history.
Part of the reason is because Studiometry is 21 years old. While there will always be more features to add and things to improve, the app is stable and incredibly feature-rich. So much so that almost all new features are specific enough that only a handful of users would ever use them.
For all of Studiometry's existence, we've consciously chosen to take a different approach than most bigger software companies would. We add everything we can. If any of our users could really use a feature, we add it. We'll have it in the next update! Other apps and platforms continually phase out and disable lesser-used features in order to simplify. It feels like almost every month another Google product has been phased out. There's even entire websites dedicated to it:
But for over two decades, we've been adding and organizing features into probably one of the most complex, feature-rich business-management apps that exists. Just take a scroll through the version history for a trip back through memory lane. Even though it only goes back to Studiometry 3.0.

But in the past few years, we haven't done a great job at consistently keeping up with updates and support inquiries. We've had a lot of shuffling of support and development staff, and in the process many things have fallen through the cracks.
I'm personally very sorry for the delay getting this Studiometry update out. And sorry to the people who have had support inquiries go stale without resolution. We're working on making sure to be more consistent and reliable as a company again. We're still here, and Studiometry is still Studiometry.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with Studiometry and Oranged for so many years.
