Oranged Support To move your data to a new machine:
1. First quit Studiometry on all machines
2. Find your data folder on your current machine. On a Mac, this is located at:
Home/Library/Application Support/Studiometry/On Mac OS 10.7 and newer the library folder is hidden, so you must in the Finder select Go Menu > Go To Folder, and then paste in the following:
~/Library/Application Support/On Windows, you need to search your machine for "com.studiometry.plist" including hidden and invisible files. When that file is found, you should copy the entire parent folder named "Studiometry" to the new machine.
3. Copy this folder to the new machine at the same location. This will copy your data, settings, and registration information to the new machine.
4. Open Studiometry on the new machine. This will now load all of the data as if it were the other machine. If you have an issue with your serial number being registered on too many machines, please contact us to let us know so we can assist you further.

Nicholas Gordon Hi there,
I have tried the method above to move my information to my new computer but it is still not picking up my old data. I'm running from a new mac and have pasted the folder in the correct path as mentioned. The program is telling me I'm in trial mode - I've tried entering in the registration code as well but this also does not help me import my old data. Please help!

Oranged Support Did you already have your data files registered with a valid serial number for the version you've installed? You can also manually point Studiometry to load a folder by holding the Option key while launching and then selecting a data folder. If you select the folder with a valid com.studiometry.plist and studiometry.sdbf file and it still says your trial has expired then most likely your serial number is not entered or is not valid for the version you're trying to use.

Nicholas Gordon Thanks, that seemed to almost work. It grabbed all the old information but its still saying I need to enter a registration code. I've entered it in but it doesn't work. We did purchase a single user/single computer license so that could be why. But I am hoping I can just switch it to a new computer because the old computer is older and we don't want to use it anymore.

Oranged Support Please open a new support ticket with your serial number and we can reset it for you.

Maria Katayama I'm also having trouble. After I copied the folder (from ~/Library/Application Support/) I dragged it into Dropbox. Then on my new computer I opened it in Dropbox but couldn't find the actual application only a bunch of random folders related to Studiometry (e.g. Backup, com.Studiometry.plist, Contact Pictures, Old Data, Projectimages, studiometry.sdbf, and Templates - see attached file of screenshot). What did I do wrong?

Maria Katayama Is there a way that I can just download Studiometry from my new computer and when it comes time to enter the serial number, just enter the serial number from my old computer? Thanks.

Oranged Support You Studiometry application is located where you installed it to, most likely in the hard drive's Applications folder.
You can download just hte program itself from:
http://www.oranged.net/studiometry/download/
It will load any settings, or be blank if you haven't moved them into the correct location on the new machine.
