I even downloaded the latest version (11) and got the same results. Double click on the icon and it starts to open and just stops. no crash. Just stops. Any ideas?

Oranged Support Hello,
Does it appear in your task bar at the bottom of the screen? If so, most likely the window itself is simply appearing off screen somehow. Try right-clicking on Studiometry in the taskbar and selecting Maximize, or if there is anything in the tool tray at the bottom you can do this from there as well.
Restore Window Positions can be used to reset the window so it doesn’t appear offscreen. You can do this from the tool tray or via the Window Menu within Studiometry once you maximize it.

Rob Sherrard - Imageer I run Studiometry on Windows 7 with dual-monitors and UltraMon monitor management software. Studiometry occasionally gets lost (for no definable reason).
When that happens I find an icon for Studiometry in my TaskBar, and I hover my cursor over the icon, and a popup for a running instance appears. If I then right click on the popup a drop down menu offering to Move to Other Monitor is shown. Making that choice restores Studiometry to where it was before it went missing.
Of course, your situation may be totally different, but I thought I'd share my experience FWIW.
