I suggested this a while ago and was told that it was planned for a future update. I have not seen any announcement that this has been included in 8.1 or 8.2, both of which came out after I submitted my feature request. I am an attorney and this has become a big enough issue with several of my clients that I have had to start shopping for another software solution notwithstanding the fact that I just purchased Studiometry a couple of month ago.
I need an invoice variable (or variables) that will allow me to show the pre-invoice retainer balance and the post-invoice retainer balance so my clients (and I) can keep track of where their balances stand. I need to be able to create an invoice that reads as follows:
Old Invoice Balance
Invoice Amount
New Invoice Balance
Balance Due
