We are using Mac Mini servers and we now have to keep a user logged in on the server to run the database.
In a multi user environment this should not be the case. Please make it possible to run the server as a service.

I agree, we have to leave our server on in the office and I'd rather some people not be able to access that information when I'm not in the office. Is there anyway of logging out as your OsX user but keep the Studiometry running so I can still access it when I'm out of the office?
On your server Preferences, General, place checkmarks in the boxes for Ask for Global Password on Launch and also Lock Studiometry when idle for…
When the server times out after the interval specified, it will have no effect on any client users who will be able to continue their sessions or start new ones without interruption. But, whoever comes up to the server machine must assert the global password in order to gain access to the data.
Or if you find the idle timeout annoying, you can simply click on Employee in the menu bar and choose Log Out…
You'll just have to remember to Log Out every time you step away from the server.
Thank you Rob, this has sorted it, thanks for your help.
