Speed up Studiometry Launch and Sync

I just timed it… from the moment I enter my username and password, it took 5min and 40s for Studiometry to sync and open up. This is painful. Please speed this up if possible! If not possible, can you at least allow an account auto-login feature for a computer. If a computer is secure enough, having an option to automatically login to a saved username and password would allow me to schedule a Studiometry launch either at log-in, or via another scheduling method.

In other words… I can schedule Studiometry to launch or even manually launch it, but right now I still have to hang around and tell it to connect to the server before the long process of syncing even starts.

  Hi Mike,

  If you haven't used it yet, we recommend checking out the Project archiving features, which let you archive non-live projects/debts/invoices/etc and potentially speed up your loading and syncing times. This is the best way to speed up a large database, and you can always go back and un-archive items to reference them later. You'll want to check out section B  here:

  Regarding the auto-login, we've added this to the requests list and we hope to have this in an upcoming version.

  Did auto-login get implemented? I donʻt seem to locate it. If not is there an applescript that will login the server version at startup?

  There is only auto-login for non-networked machines. The Studiometry app on the server machine does not need to be logged in as an employee for the networking/serving functions to work properly. You can simply leave Studiometry at its login screen on the server if you don't want to manually log in.

  Please confirm: Leaving the Server on the log in screen will allow it to be active and that clients will be able to synch.

  Is there a ballpark estimate on what is an appropriate size of a database (# of Projects, # of Debts/Credits, etc)? I don't think we have an exceptional number, and it still takes 45min to an hour for an individual to sync with the server. Forget it, if all the clients try connecting at the same time. I've archived some jobs, plus deleted the resulting orphaned ToDos, and still have the same slow speed. How much smaller do I need to push the Database size?
