Really glad you've implemented receipts now, but would like to be able to graphically format them to look similar to my invoices. The graphic receipt is too cutesy, and the text version looks like it came from Notepad.
Thanks, Michael Nowak

With some tweaks to your Invoice template, you can make it serve for a receipt as well. The attached sample has a Payment History section in the lower left, and an Amount Due at bottom right. When originally generated, Amount Due is the same as Invoice Total.
When Studiometry 9 is released with its conditional variable feature, a PAID "rubber stamp" image will automatically appear between the Payment History box and the Totals area.
Thanks for the request, Michael, and for the good idea about the invoice templates, Rob.
Currently you can use an invoice template to show receipts with whatever template you'd want, but we do understand that some people would want to modify just their receipt template. We'll be adding this to a future version of Studiometry, possibly 9.0.x or 9.1. Thanks!
As different counties have different accounting requirement.
We need to have a receipt template with automatic numbering.
it would be good if you could create additional forms, were you could customize to your own needs. Not Just the set forms available (I do not mean customize templates)
Is there any way we could do this?
Anyone?
Thanks,

Hi,
I too would like to alter the receipt format.
In the meantime, how do I get the invoice to show the PAID rubber stamp?
To show the PAID rubber stamp, I did the following:
The PAID stamp will only be visible when Studiometry has determined that the Invoice has be paid.
I have 9.1 now. Is this customizable receipt feature in there some where?
Customizable receipt features as illustrated in the attachments to this forum post have been possible in Studiometry for several years using the Template Editor in Preferences and the payment and invoice variables provided there. New in version 9 was the conditional variable feature which allows fields to be displayed or suppressed depending on invoice status conditions such as Invoice Paid, Invoice Unpaid, Invoice Overdue and Client Has Retainer
As currently deployed in 9.1, it would be difficult to generate a totally separate itemized Receipt (not part of an Invoice), other than the cute corkboard pinup provided in the $ (Payment) tab.
@Rob, I think Michael is talking about are payment receipts (the graphical one has a cork-board backdrop and a red pin), not paid invoices.
We forgot to update this post, but just wanted to mention that this was added back in Studiometry 12.1.
