Contacts Custom Fields in Search

The new Custom Fields in Contacts do not appear in the Search. window. Can they be added? It would be advantageous to be able to do Group Edit on a user created custom field to backfill the database for existing contacts in the new field(s).

I can´t find a way to export Contacts Custom fields with the Lits Export command, is it possible somehow?
