So I'm using SM's sync preferences to link SM's tasks to iCloud and thereby able to see these tasks in my iPhone's task app (2Do) along with all my other non-project tasks. It works ok. It would be better if I didn't have to narrow cast my project management tasks to a single Stuidometry calendar, but it's better than no link at all.
But, the current SM sync system doesn't allow for tasks and events to be synced to iCloud. This is a problem. The problem arises because it forces a less than expected situation of having to choose either to sync my events or sync my tasks, since SM can't sync to more than one iCloud calendar at a time.
Here is what I suggest...
Have SM sync all logs (notes, meetings, emails, phone calls.) sync to a single SM events iCloud calendar and have SM's tasks sync to a single iCloud reminder calendar. Even if it means in the short-term, limiting the number of log types that can be created by the user, for programming reasons, setting up a 'funnel SM's logs' to a single, iCloud, user named, iCloud events calendar, and 'funeral SM's tasks to a single, iCloud, user named, iCloud reminders calendar, such a design would provide a well balanced alternative until the update UI version is launched.
Of course, the nice thing about being a user and not an engineer is that I blissfully have no understanding of the engineering headaches it may cause. :)
Anyway, looking forward to any SM or SMT updates.
