We include Debt Categories in our invoice. We would like to make adjustments to the Debt Category subtotals that are not visible on the invoice. Is there a way to make adjustments, particularly with hourly categories, without actually going in and changing the amount of hours (we want to keep actual hours for our records)?
Ex:
Pre-adjustment invoice
Creative $685.30
Production $111.08
Post-Adjustment Invoice
Creative $600.00
Production $100.00
I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not:
I often track my hours as non-billable and then create a billable fee based on those hours.
That's been our work around as well. My latest idea was to make the adjustment as a discount or invoice adjustment, and then not list the categories in our invoice. We could manually list the adjusted categories as a note, while still using the generated total. I don't know that it seems any better of a solution though.
