After creating a Receipt with the new custom Receipt template, if you choose to Email the receipt, Studiometry 12.2 generates a PDF for transmission with the file name NNNN-Studiometry.pdf. The value of NNNN changes for each receipt but the basis of the number selection is not obvious. For the same receipt, if you choose Export, Studiometry generates a PDF with a default file name of Payment Receipt.pdf. Unless you have a different target folder for each receipt, Studiometry will want to overwrite the previously exported receipt with the one just being exported, or require you to edit the proposed file name before clicking OK.
The default file name used for Email attachment and for Export should have the same file naming convention to avoid confusion. If the basis for NNNN always produces a unique non-recurring number, then an acceptable file naming convention for either email or export would be Payment Receipt-NNNN.pdf. If the current basis for generating NNNN doesn't preclude duplicate numbering, then a more elegant numbering formulation such as <C>-NNNN (where NNNN is Per Client) should be implemented. Alternatively, a globally incrementing receipt number would also be acceptable.
The value of NNNN (or its replacement) should be available as a receipt variable so it could be included in the body of the receipt to uniquely identify it.
2015-12-17 Revised to move NNNN as a suffix to Payment Receipt rather than a prefix to facilitate filtering a folder for any Payment Receipts it might contain.
