There are multiple .actb files from previous dates and now there are 3 "back-up" files listed -2 have my original 1st company name and 1 has the new company name which has not had any inputed data yet. I tried to ope the original backup file and now it looks "empty" when it should have months of data and about 25 assorted accounts listed. Where is my data??? I did NOT backup the new company using the old company back-up file- I'm positive, yet the program is behaving that way. I need help to retrieve that data!!!

Oranged Support Your original files are always going to be named with ".actd" extensions. You can find and open your original .actd file to get that data back. If you've lost your company's original .actd file, search your hard drive for "actd" to find where it resides.
There is currently a bug in Accounted 3.0.2 where the backup files cannot be directly opened, but you can get past this by simply changing the extension back to ".actd".
