Does anyone have a workaround for setting up a "cost" or "time" range when creating an estimate. Most of the time when I'm doing a design project giving a specific "cost" is problematic. However a range i.e.: 10 to 12 hours or $500 to $750 is preferable.
Thanks

Oranged Support One workaround you could consider using is entering the low-end into your estimated item's cost (unit price & quantity before markup) and the high end into the actual amount including markup. This way you could show cost as the "low" estimate for each item, and for the estimate as a whole.
The only issue would be showing a range of hours, since each item can only have one hour total.

Robert Rabner Thanks, I'll give that a look.

Robert Rabner Another estimate question if I may. How do you adjust item list order on the actual estimate report? I've changed the column header in edit report mode to "description" but when the estimate renders, it doesn't adhere to that order. Same for Category. I've tried starting the work item with a number and hoping it would sort on that. It appears that after multiple attempts that it always defaults back to the order in which the items were created in "work and expenses". Is that the only way to render the items on an estimate?

Oranged Support Change the item set to "Custom" and then you can drag & reorder items. If you're using a live updated item set, the included items will be calculated when you create the report, and thus you cannot have a saved order.
With Custom item set, your report will have a fixed set of items with their order saved.
