Submit a Payment Through Notifications

There should be an intuitive way to submit a payment through the Notifications window. If I receive a check from a client and go into the app and have the Notifications come up saying a client is Past Due, then I should be able to, say, right click and Add a Payment for that. Now I can click on the checkbox that says it's been paid but it doesn't generate a payment. The other option would be to ask to generate a payment when you check the box. This would make the Notifications more useful. Thanks!
