I could use some advice on how to deal with the opposite of a multi-project invoice.
I have a single project with two clients where I must split my billables in half for each client. So two invoices. Short of creating two projects in Studiometry where I would have to remember to manually divide my hours between the two, is there a way to achieve this?
It's a bit awkward, but I do this for split invoicing. For my clients Smith and Jones who split costs on a project, I create a new client, the Smith Jones Collaboration. I enter both Smith and Jones as Contacts for that client. For each element of a project for the collaboration, I create a debt/credit for half the cost of that element (or whatever the agreed split amount might be). I duplicate that debt/credit. I add Smith or Jones to the Description or Extra Info for each element (or as a Tag introduced in Studiometry 12). Two invoices are created, one containing all the elements tagged as Smith and the other everything tagged as Jones. When payments are received they can be applied to Smith or Jones as appropriate leaving the correct open amount for the other collaborator.
