Everything has worked fine until the past few days I'm getting the message (in subject line). I have noticed the most recent activity may not be showing. I keep my data on a local drive so what has gone wrong and how do I fix it? Thanks

There could be an issue with either the app not having the correct permissions to open your data file (which is your database), or there could be an issue with the data file being corrupted.
First, try quitting Accounted and moving your current data file to another location, such as your desktop. Then open that file using Accounted to see if you have the ability to open it. Your OS might ask to give Accounted permission to access certain files, and if you denied the permission when asked, then Accounted won't be able to open its data file, and won't be able to function.
If that doesn't work, and you keep backups (the setting is available in the Preferences Window > General section) then you could try opening up a previous backup to see if that works properly.
First, I'm glad to know that I can get help with this and that it is fixable. Studiometry is the best invoice app ever and I will use it one way or another until I retire.
I will do whatever you suggest however I have no idea how to quit or open "Accounted". So that may be the first thing to tackle. Attached is a screen shot of a window when Studiometry is opening.
