I have Studiometry Cloud linked to Zapier and have a test so that every time I add a ToDo then Zapier sends me an email. This works fine.
What I am now trying to do is have it so that every time a new invoice is created then this causes a trigger event to occur in Zapier so I can link to Xero to create the invoice entry in my accounts.
Has anyone managed to anything like this?

We plan to add more Triggers and Actions for the integrations. We are working on improved and expanded Zapier integrations and will have this available with an upcoming update of Studiometry Cloud. Invoice creation is definitely one that we plan to add as a Trigger. This will most likely be part of the updates related to Studiometry 15.

I can see why you have gone down the Zapier route as (once you get your head around it) it has a very clean way of integrating between different services and applications.
It really looks like, going forward I will be able to get other software putting data into Studiometry.
So far I have Zaps in place so that when I get new orders on a website then the order details get added as log entries under a specific vendor so that at any time I can see information about a customer. In addition I am using the email integration to associate emails related to said website under the same vendor so this way all communications in an out related to a customer is stored under the one vendor and it is all linked together using the customers email address. This also allows me to comply with the GDPR requirement to maintain a Personal Data Log.
I did think about creating customers as clients but my normal work is consultancy services so these are my clients whereas when I sell products on the website I consider these customers (who might also be clients) and what I didnt want to clog up the clients in Studiometry with lots of customers who place orders who I might never communicate with or need to have any actual relationship going forward.
For the website I am using the Woocommerce, Ninja Forms and Wordpress Zaps as well as Zaps for Xero to push the orders from the website in the Xero and also Zaps for Paypal and Stripe to track payments for orders on the website.
For anyone considering Zapier, it looks a little challenging to start with but once you start to play with it you realise that it can link up with Studiometry and other systems really well. A nice feature that Studiometry does is that when you do something like Create Client Zap, it returns a result (this took me a while to spot) that you can check the result of to see if it was successful in Studiometry. Then based on this you can do additional actions.
For me this was the first Zap I created because I have another website where clients have to provide details about their company and authorised signatories who will sign my consultancy agreement. So the Zap links to Ninja Forms on the website, checks all the information is correct, checks the company number against my local government website, and if all is good then it creates a new client in Studiometry, then creates a new contact in Studiometry and then uses WebMerge to create a PDF file with the completed information and emails the client to ask them to sign and return to me the attached PDF. The it creates a ToDo entry for a weeks time against the client and contact to follow up on the pending agreement. Finally it records a log with all of the information provided by the client on the form as an "Initial contact" record in Studiometry.
The above all works really well and makes the take on of a new client really slick and saves me an hour of unchangeable time for each new client I take on.
It will be good when the Create Client Zap can create the client and contact in one so you dont end up having to manually delete the New Contact record after the process completes and also to be able to complete the other fields for the client like address, email, telephone etc will again help reduce the take on time as at the moment I need to add these manually and add a project manually but in future when Studiometry allows this it will mean that I can do all of that as well plus include a work entry to record some time for the take on process of a new client.
All in all I take my hat off to you guys for adding the Zapier integration because it really does allow you to start to do things that enable Studiometry to become a central location to manage clients and in the few weeks I have been using it I can say it has improved the way I look after my clients and keep on top of what I have to do. As a freelancer this is often the hardest job as you have the battle of providing good service to clients whilst at the same time keeping administration and record keeping and what you have to do in future to be as automated as possible so that you are not wasting potentially chargeable time on unchangeable work.
For anyone thinking about using Studiometry with Zapier I would say, give it a go, it is really easy and once you start you will think of lots more things you can do to automate your process and record keeping.
