I have a desktop machine used in my office and a laptop for use on the road. I have set up Studiometry on the desktop machine with the data files in a dropbox account. My intention was to make use of studiometry on the laptop to keep my records up to date while out of the office.

Now I find that I cannot install Studiometry on the laptop as the "licence has been used the maximum number of times". I note that the instructions for cloud syncing given on this site refer to purchase of an additional licence as an "alternative" rather than as a requirement.

What is the truth of this?

Do I require a second licence in order to use two machines at different times - obviously with this method of syncing they cannot be used simultaneously.

  Michael, I suggest you submit a support ticket on your situation requesting relief on the usage counter.

  In situations in which two machines is not enough for a single-user's license, we can extend a license to work on additional machines (although not simultaneously). We have done this for you license and responded in your ticket.
