I am in the process of (re)designing some report templates and I'd like the name of the person who creates a report to be added to the report so it is clear who created the report and who can therefore be asked in case of questions. I tried to add the custom variable employeename but that stayed empty... but I could easily have overlooked something as I am quite bad in creating report templates :)
Any ideas?
You would probably want to use a custom field for this. To do this, you'd have to add the field to the template itself so that it will appear somewhere on the report, and then you'll have to have the user manually fill in their name when creating the report. Currently reports/invoices do not have "owners", so there would be no automated way of assigning an employee. Simply creating a custom field and setting it up properly would be the easiest way to do this.
