loving the new timesheets

 

however... can't seem to achieve the following and hoping you can help

 

- when entering a timesheet or a weekly timesheet.. there doesn't appear to be any way to use the drop-down description list... that only seems to be active when viewing a timesheet and editing it from there.. would be useful if the drop-down was active wherever you were entering/ editing timesheets

- all of  our projects are broken down into phases... is there anyway of doing this in studiometry... and.. subsequently... be able to search for all time allocated to a specific phase of a project (ie. project total hours = 100... broken down into phase A = 20, phase B = 60, phase C = 10, phase D = 10)

- nice to be able to enter weekly timesheets... however... why is there no way to see your weekly timesheets within the same layout (ie. time i have entered against a project does not show in the weekly timesheet layout when i navigate back into it)

  - The drop-down auto-fill description list is not used in the Weekly timesheet window because all of the times are automatically figured out based on type. Studiometry will manage the information based on timer type, which means that any auto-filled descriptions for individual items might not be saved if you make changes.

   

  - Regarding project phases, if you'd like to do this currently the only way would be to search by date, or possibly by  creating custom work types. We have had several requests for sub-projects and we plan on adding that capability to an upcoming Studiometry version, which would then let you have project Phases based on the sub projects.

   

  - To view a weekly timesheet in the exact same layout you can just re-open the weekly timesheet window. It will load all current information into the window and you can make modifications from there. If you'd like, you can select the Populate List button, and then choose Active Projects and Types to see all active items for the selected week.

  I've had huge approval on my end the addition of the Weekly Timesheet.

  I've had similar requests about adding description on the Weekly timesheet. Is there maybe a way to only enable the addition of descriptions to new daily entries that don't already have time? This seems kind of clunky though. I'm not sure what the solution is… but I'm definitely hearing requests from our employee's the functionality to add descriptions here.
