Invoice output being pushed down and to the right

Hi all,

I've just about got a couple of new invoice templates made, but I'm having one or two problems getting the output just right. In particular:

I can't seem to get either the print or PDF output to come out just like my templates. For some reason, everything is getting pushed down and to the right (by around 20-30 pixels each direction, I'd guesstimate), leaving larger-than-desired margins at top and to the left and much smaller ones at the bottom and to the right. I suppose I could move everything in my template accordingly, but it seems like there must be a better solution and/or something I'm not seeing in the settings.

I'm on a Mac and use "A4" as the page size.

  I think you're going to need to adjust the horizontal and vertical positions of each element in your template by around -20 or -30 to obtain the output you're looking for. For test purposes you might want to place a new element at position 0, 0 and see where that shows up, and then adjust from there.

  If I remember correctly, I changed the Page Size settings in the Template Info tab from the pre-defined paper size to Custom to get what I wanted. That was several years back so the details are dim.

  Actually, your tip about the PDF file name seems to also be the workaround for my output problems. Exporting doesn't cause everything to shift down and to the right like printing does. Cheers.

  Also as a note, this is related to the page setup when you print. You will most likely want to setup a custom page size for your Studiometry templates if they don't exactly match when using PDF backgrounds or printing. You can do this by (1) clicking on the invoice preview area to be sure it's active, then selecting File Menu > Page Setup, and then under paper size you can select Manage Custom Sizes. You can create a custom size and name it Studiometry Invoice to make sure it properly fits the printed content.
