I'm thinking in particular about the Things to-do list manager. I have never managed to get on with the todo list manager in Studiometry, and much prefer Things as a way of tracking what I need to do. It would be great if there was a way for Things and Studiometry to talk to each other. I'd be happy with something as simple as Things knowing about the live projects in Studiometry, but even better would be for Things tasks stored in "Studiometry" projects to appear within Studiometry.
As an extension of this (an unintended potential benefit) - the MailTags app can 'see' Things projects - so already I can tag mail messages to projects in Things without duplication. If Things could see Studiometry live projects, I could then tag mail messages via MailTags to the Studiometry project they relate to.
I think the feature needs to be able to differentiate between "live" projects and "defined" projects - as if you simply replicate the list of defined projects into Things, you'll end up with huge numbers of dead categories... not helpful.
Hope this makes sense as-is, but if not please let me know what needs clarifying.
Now you've got that, I'll go back to hoping that one day someone will apply a touch of Mac style design elegance to the Studiometry interface... it is a useful program, but sooo clunky!
