Project Or Client Locations

we send our techs to different projects every day. They have no idea where the project is located geographically. We have to either put the project in the project notes or the techs have to click through To the client and then all the way to the contact to figure out where they are going. Way too confusing. Projects and clients should have locations.

  Can you put the project's location into the project specs? This sounds like a great place to put it for the project.

  Regarding the client, though, we're looking at having contact data linked specifically to the client as an option that will work in conjunction with contact-related information as well. This may or may not make it into 9.0.

  putting it in specs is no better then putting it in notes. its just so many clicks away ..

  also i woudlnt mind putting it in specs if specs was revamped a bit.

  Project specs are available in the Specs tab and allow you to add any customizable field to the project, which can then be added to your invoices or reports if you'd like. If you have a project selected, viewing the specs is at most one click away (clicking on the specs tab), as is the project info tab or any other tab.
