The Statement feature does a great job of summarizing projects, invoices and payments for a client. However for clients of long standing, the Statement dutifully reports "ancient history" along with the recent activity which is generally the focus of interest for a statement. This can result in a Statement with a couple of pages of prior year's activity before getting to the current activity.
Request: Provide a means to optionally compress Statements by specifying an offset date value such that only items falling after the offset are itemized. Any items prior to the offset date would be lumped together to keep the totals correct. The attached sample statement uses an offset date of January 1 to compress prior Invoice & Payment activity to a single line, and then itemizes the current year activity. If the client also has had a large number of projects, the Projects portion of the statement could be compressed by leaving out projects with a completion date prior to the offset date.
