It would be helpful when entering in individual expense items, as in tracking itemized receipts from vendors, to be able to specify as a tag/variable the vendor SKU or item number and the unit of measure. I would like to see this as a text input box or selection box directly in the New Debt/Credit window. This way I can specify specific products and numbers from a vendor and it would update in the invoice, PO, or any other generated reports. I also need to specify what the unit of measure is for each item in the PO. So if I am purchasing fabric and other materials from one vendor, it will list as yards, each, etc in the reports/invoices.

Rob Sherrard - Imageer While it's not what you asked for, I solved the unit of measure issue by including it as part of the Item Description as a parenthetic abbreviation: (yd), (ea), (hr) etc.
If you're not using it for other purposes, the Extra Info field could be used for the SKU or other additional information. I've formatted my invoice and report templates such that each item gets two lines. The first line contains Item Number, Quantity, Description, Unit Price, Extended Price, and indication of whether the item is taxable. The second line contains the Extra Info which can be used as you wish to add to the description. The first and second lines are formatted so as to interleave in the invoice or report, and the second line is indented to differentiate it from the first line.
