Are we able to do progress or percentage billing? Maybe there is a way to create an estimate and then bill form it in percentages?

Oranged Support Thanks Greg. So there are a couple ways you can accomplish this.
What might make the most sense to do is create your items all as non-billable when you work on a project. Then you can create individual 25% chunk items for your invoices as standard expense items. So you'll have the estimated or tracked items on your project, but you'll just create flat expense items that are billable when you actually create invoices. Obviously this will only work if you've already sent out an estimate with the items on it and you're find sending out invoices that don't show the individual items.
One last possible solution would be to create an invoice template that makes use of the "Display Percentage of Amount" option for each variable. What you could then do is leave the items as 100% on the project itself, but have the invoice show only a percentage of the item totals. This can be applied to item amounts, invoice totals, or anything else you want that is a variable. To change these, go to the Preferences Window > Templates section, double-click a template to edit it, select a variable, and then on the right under Item Information, check the "Display percentage of amount" box and type in 25. This will then show 25% of whatever the variable's actual value is.

Greg Guarnaccia Thanks for the ideas. I think your first idea will be the easest since I don't work with set percentages. I bill each month based on however much I've accomplished so the percentages change to some extent. I guess I could always create a series of invoices with preset percentages as you noted in your second idea but it's not so easy to change invoice templates when you have a lot of different invoices.
It would be nice if progress billing would be considered as a feature request.
