New User Question About Customizing Template

I'm transitioning to Studiometry from iBiz and I'm very happy how things are moving along, but I need some advice.

I have customized the Detailed Description template very near to what I need however I would like to add a Quantity column if possible.

Also, is there a way to let the descriptions flow to additional lines and not just cut off?

  Hello,

  Thanks for your questions we're glad to help.

  If you want to change the items to have quantity include, just:

  1. Go to the Preferences Window > Templates section
  2. Double click the template you want to edit
  3. Select the "Debt/Credit Item Row Area" and then click "Edit Data Row" in the pane on the right
  4. You can then click the New Variable button, and then select your new variable, place it, and change the Variable to "ItemQuantity" under Item Information in the pane on the right
  5. If you want the ItemName to be flexible height instead of the ItemExtraInfo, you can remove the ItemExtraInfo variable while you're in there, and then select the ItemName variable and next to Height in the Position pane, change the Constant popup to Flexible. This will let the item resize based on its height, and will also resize the data row based on height. You can only have one item that will resize based on height per data row. 
  6. When you're finished editing that, click Done in the top left to get back to the main template
