About half of my clients are tax exempt. I would like a way to tell Studiometry to ignore taxes for these clients. I did searches and the responses were out dated.
I'm a new user coming from Quickbooks, iRatchet and iBiz and it is getting tough to keep relearning new systems. My version is 12.6.1
There is not currently a way to set a client as tax exempt. However, there is a way to declare special tax rates on a per project basis. By default, a project's tax rates are Use Debt Specific Settings. In a project's editor window (obtained by clicking the button indicated with blue arrow in the attached screen shot) there is a Billing tab. Within that window the Tax Behavior can be changed from the default to Override Debt Specific Settings. In the screen shot no Tax Names have a check mark by them, so the project has effectively been declared as tax exempt.
